EEF Funding and your joining options:
(The below statements are included for clarity and to ensure compliance with the council’s current EEF Agreement.)
A) Applications for a place commencing within one term of submission.
(e.g. Application submitted February 2027, starting April 2027)
EEF funding is confirmed as being available for children applying for this place and would be available from the beginning of next term.
(Note: terms start January, April, September – exact dates change annually).
Families are required to provide a valid DERN (eligibility code from the Government Portal) and a completed Parents’ Declaration Form prior to their child’s start date.
B) Application for a place More Than One Term in advance.
(e.g. Application submitted November 2026, starting September 2027)
Due to the following reasons, we are unable to confirm that EEF funding would be available for your child’s start date.
1. DERN codes are required for us to be able to confirm your child’s eligibility for EEF. As you cannot confirm these more than one term in advance, we cannot confirm funding is available.
2. We review the council contract on a term-by-term basis and, although we are VERY hopeful to remain signed up to the agreement, this cannot be guaranteed at the point of application because the child’s start date is further ahead.
All places within this application are offered under our standard terms, which include a non-refundable £100 registration fee.
In the term prior to your child starting, we anticipate being able to confirm that EEF funding will be available, provided a valid DERN code is supplied. Eligible hours would receive funding, with any additional hours remaining within the standard agreement in place and covered by the registration fee.
